Flower of the Day- Hyacinth (HY-ah-SINTH)

This is a very fragrant bulb which blooms for availability
November-April.  Although most of us are used to seeing this flower in the Spring gardens in the Northest.

Available in white, blue, lavender, purple, pink, magenta, peach and yellow, its a common Easter plant purchased by consumers.

Characteristics: Clusters of 1 1/2- 2 inch star shaped flowers from a rounde spike on a stem about 6 -8 inches.

Meaning: Sport, Game, Plany, young love

Special care:  keep in a vase at room temperature for full fragrance, best without any other flower in vase for at least 6 hours.
